Adding Emergence and Spatiality to a Public Bad Game for Studying Dynamics in Socio-Ecological Systems (Part I): The Design of Musa-Game for Integrative Analysis of Collective Action in Banana Disease Management

Human decision-making plays a critical and challenging role in the prevention control of public bads within socio-ecological systems. Farmers daily confront dilemmas regarding bad management, such as infectious diseases their crops. Their decisions interplay with multiple factors may create risk conditions which can occur (e.g., disease outbreak). This article presents an experimental board game method (DySE) its contextualized version (Musa-game) to study effect individual collective human actions on creating or preventing bad. The DySE Musa-game add emergence spatiality (both attributes SES) action problems. methodological proposal allows us build contextual understanding how various entities lead typical system outcomes, i.e., that are (un)favourable pathogens, about management.
